LUFKIN, Tx -- The UT Tyler women's golf team shot a combined 361 on the first day of the American Southwest Conference Championships at Crown Colony Country Club, good enough for third place.
Senior Katie Crawford led the Patriots with a 83, followed by teammates Danica Weddle and Jordan Sloane who shot 87 and 90 respectively.
Mary Hardin-Baylor currently leads the tournament after shooting a combined 340 on the first day, while Schreiner University sits in second-place after shooting a 352.
The women's final round will take place tomorrow, beginning at 8:30 am at Crown Colony in Lufkin.
