10/1/2018 9:01:00 PM

TYLER, Texas - The #20 UT Tyler Patriots Volleyball team will take a break from American Southwest Conference action on Tuesday when they play the Southwestern Pirates in Georgetown. The Patriots (14-1) are currently riding a nine game winning streak that has been active for nearly three weeks. They will be looking for their first win over the Pirates in school history.

UT Tyler is led on offense by junior Kaitlyn Budisalovich who has 203 kills on the season. She is one of only two players in the ASC with over two hundred kills. Reighanna Guzman by leads the team in assists with 579, sixty more than anyone else in the conference.

The Pirates come into the game with an 8-7 overall record and are coming off a five set victory over Our lady of the Lake. They have had a brutal non-conference schedule and it has paid off so far in conference play. In the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference, they are 5-2.

The Pirates are hosting what could be dubbed an "ASC Week". They host matches against UT Tyler, Texas-Dallas, and Mary-Hardin Baylor. Jamison Duck leads the Pirates in kills with 183 and aces with 32.

The match is scheduled for 6 p.m., then the Patriots will have a week off before their next game.
