TYLER, Texas - The No. 15 UT Tyler Men's Soccer team hosted Belhaven for the final game of the 2018 season on Saturday. The Patriots defeated the Blazers 9-0, finishing the season at 12-1-2.

Erik Macias, and
Sam Huerta before Saturday's game in a special Senior Day ceremony.
Coming into Saturday's game, UT Tyler was outscoring opponents 30-7, the 9-0 win pushed UT Tyler's advantage to 39-7 after seven different Patriots scored in the win.
Jose Poo opened the scoring in the 15th minute on an unassisted goal. Poo worked around a trio of Blazer defenders in the box, firing a shot past the keeper to give UT Tyler the early 1-0 advantage.
In the 39th minute,
Noah Kubala played a ball to
Mark Guevara who redirected the shot to the back of the net from the left side of the box. Guevara's goal gave UT Tyler a 2-0 lead.
Uriah Shipman would give the Patriots a 3-0 lead just one minute later after playing a pass from Kubala into the back of the net. Shipman would fire a shot from 18 yards out into the back of the net.
Just 43 seconds later
Winner Assi netted an unassisted goal to put UT Tyler ahead 4-0 at the half.
Lucas Pereira would open the scoring for UT Tyler in the second half with a 63rd minute goal.
Winner Assi sent a ball into the box which Pereira would net for his 10th goal of the season, giving the Patriots a 5-0 lead.
Less than a minute later Pereira broke away from the Belhaven defense, netting his second goal and 11th on the season. After 64:10, UT Tyler held a 6-0 lead over the Blazers.
UT Tyler pulled ahead 7-0 after
Erik Macias played a ball from Shipman into the back of the net. Macias would take Shipman's pass and fire his third goal of the season into the back of the net.
Poo would join Pereira as the teams multi-goal scorers on Saturday in the 86th minute. Poo scored his second unassisted goal of the afternoon, giving the Patriots an 8-0 lead with four minutes left in regulation.

Ryan Brinda would join his teammates, netting a goal in the 89th minute. After a tackle in the box, a penalty kick was awarded and Brinda was called to the line. Brinda sent his PK opportunity to the top corner, putting the Patriots ahead 9-0 in the final minute.
The Patriots would fire 28 shots in the win with 19 being on goal. The UT Tyler defense held Belhaven to just four shots in the game, none were on goal.
Giancarlo Ayanegui and
Parker O'Quinn would each play 45 minutes in goal, combining for the Patriots ninth shutout of the season.
