WAIMEA, HAWAII – The UT Tyler women's golf team will enter the final round of the Dennis Rose Intercollegiate in fifth place after a team score of 307 on Tuesday afternoon.
The Patriots were led by the combination of
Raelynn Hardgrave and
Brooke Wagner in the second 18 of the 54-hole event at the Hapuna Beach resort. Hardgrave and Wagner followed up rounds of 76 in Monday's opening round with a pair of 75's in the second round to sit in a tie for 12
th on the individual leaderboard.
UT Tyler stayed in the top five following the second round with a 611 (304-307) total for the event through 36 holes of play. The Patriots sit eight strokes back of fourth place Sonoma State and 10 back of third place Colorado Christian.
Grand Valley State will hold the lead going into the final 18 holes of play after team scores of 297-298 in the first two rounds for a 595 team total. Brady Turnquist of Biola University leads the individual leaderboard with rounds of 72-70 for a 142 total.
Julia Kerrigan (76) and
Zoe Mayfield (79) were next up on the leaderboard for the Patriots in round two.
Kaitlyn Charles rounded out the scoring team with a round of 83 while
Lauren Christl shot 83 while competing as an individual.
UT Tyler will get started in the final round Wednesday morning.
