DESTIN, FLA. – UT Tyler women's golf posted a 325 in the first of three rounds at the Emerald Coast Classic at Sandestin-Baytowne Golf Club on Sunday afternoon.
Senior
Raelynn Hardgrave and freshman
Brooke Wagner posted the low rounds of the day for the Patriots, who sit in 14
th place on the team leaderboard after the completion of round one. Hardgrave and Wagner shot rounds of 79 and sit in a tie for 45
th place on the individual leaderboard.
No. 3 Nova Southeastern shot the low round of the first day of action by six shots, posting a team score of 290 in round number one. Ellen Ramstedt of Nova Southeastern shot one of two under-par rounds on the day to lead the individual leaderboard with a 69.
The Patriots sit five strokes back of no. 32 Central Oklahoma and no. 40 North Georgia after round one, and are one of just two Lone Star Conference teams in the field alongside Arkansas-Fort Smith.
Junior
Kaitlyn Charles shot 83 to sit in a tie for 70
th place and senior
Zoe Mayfield carded an 84 to sit in a tie for 74
th place to round out the four counting scores for the Patriots. Sophomore
Julia Kerrigan posted an 85 on Sunday afternoon to wrap up the scoring for the Patriots and sits in a tie for 78
th place.
Round two is set to get started tomorrow morning.
