BULLARD, TEXAS – The UT Tyler women's golf team collected their fifth top-five team finish of the 2021-22 season after a 302 in Tuesday's final round of the 2022 King-Alfred Spring Invitational at Eagles Bluff Country Club.
The Patriots finished fourth on the team leaderboard with a three-round total of 897 (300-295-302) and were led by sophomore
Julia Kerrigan's tie for sixth place on the individual leaderboard following a final round 75 on Tuesday morning. UT Tyler secured a pair of key head-to-head wins in the process over no. 21 Texas A&M International and no. 39 Arkansas-Forth Smith.

Brooke Wagner, who carded a three-round total of 222 (76-71-75), both paced UT Tyler with 75's. The Patriots lost their third-place match in the team medal match play bracket against St. Mary's, but finished just six strokes back of the third place Rattlers on the team stroke play leaderboard.
No. 2 DBU claimed the team stroke play title with rounds of 278-291-290 for a three-day total of 212, but were upset in the championship match of the medal match bracket by no. 17 Henderson State to claim the local crown in the event. DBU's Julia Garcia won the individual title with rounds of 71-71-70 for a one-under par total of 212.
Senior
Raelynn Hardgrave finished in 16
th place to highlight four Patriots within the top 25 of the individual leaderboard after rounds of 76-72-76 for a 224 total. Junior
Kaitlyn Charles served as the fourth Patriot in the top 25 with a tie for 25
th place finish after a 76 on Tuesday gave her a 234 (80-78-76) total for the event.
Senior
Zoe Mayfield rounded out the scoring team for the Patriots with a 239 (83-77-79) total and a tie for 29
th individual finish.
Sophomore
Sora Kim played a consistent tournament as an individual competitor for UT Tyler with a 16
th place finish with rounds of 76-75-76 for a 227 total.
Lauren Christl (73-83-77) and
Avery Bryant (74-80-90) also competed as individuals in the event and finished in a tie for 23
rd and a tie for 35
th, respectively.
UT Tyler will have a quick turnaround for their final event before the 2022 Lone Star Conference Women's Golf Championships on Apr. 21-23 as they are scheduled to compete at the RJGA Palm Valley Classic on Friday and Saturday of this week at Palm Valley Golf Club in Goodyear, Ariz.
