UT Tyler Knocks Off St. Edward's, Webb Earns 200th Win as UT Tyler Head Coach

AUSTIN, TEXAS – An early second-half goal from Brooke Mullins and a clean sheet from keepers Emily Clark and Daniella Wilken paved the way for a 1-0 win for UT Tyler on the road at St. Edward's.

The win starts off the final week of the regular season for the Patriots on a high note and secures head coach Stefani Webb's 200th win as head coach of UT Tyler. Webb now holds a 200-95-34 career record in 19 seasons as head coach of the Patriots and a 290-141-41 career record in 27 seasons as a head coach in collegiate soccer.

UT Tyler took nine shots in the first 45 minutes of action on Wednesday evening against St. Edward's and finally found the back of the net in the 51st minute. Mullins put away a botched transfer from defender to goalkeeper in the box for the Hilltoppers to give the Patriots the advantage.

Both UT Tyler keepers combined for six saves in the effort to secure the clean sheet and the win for the Patriots. UT Tyler moves to 3-4-9 on the year and 1-3-7 in Lone Star Conference play with the victory.

The Patriots out-shot the Hilltoppers by a 13-to-12 final tally in the match. Both teams put six shots on target.

Sophomore Natalie Jones led the way with a trio of shots, while senior Alexia Moreira put a pair of shots on target for UT Tyler.

UT Tyler will wrap up the 2023 regular season at home on Friday night against Midwestern State. Kick-off is slated for a 6 p.m. start.
