TYLER, TEXAS – UT Tyler baseball moved up one spot this week in the latest edition of the Collegiate Baseball NCAA Division II Poll as released on Monday.

The Patriots enjoyed another strong weekend as they took down Eastern New Mexico 3-1 in the four game series. The Patriots offense totaled 61 runs in four games on their way to their fifth series win of the year. That offense got rolling in Saturday's doubleheader with 11 and 14 runs on the way to a sweep, and continued to stay hot on Sunday with 22 and 14 runs as they split the second doubleheader of the weekend.

The Patriots are now up to third in the LSC in terms of batting average, hitting .337 as a team. They have posted the third most runs, most hits, most home runs, and have the second most total bases.

On the pitching side, the Patriots are third in the LSC in team ERA at 6.55. They have allowed the fifth fewest hits, third fewest runs, and have the fourth most strikeouts.

This is the second consecutive week that the Patriots have been ranked inside the Collegiate Baseball Top 30, as they moved up one spot from #30 in this week's release.

#1 Angelo State headlines the top of the poll, and they are joined by fellow South Central Region programs #3 St. Edward's, #19 Colorado Mesa, and #30 MSU-Denver.

The Patriots will look to continue their march up the polls as they host Cameron this week for a four game series. That series gets started on Thursday at. 7 p.m. inside Irwin Field.
