LAST TIME OUT

Last week, the Patriots went a perfect 2-0 as they took down Oklahoma Christian by a score of 1-0 and DBU by a score of 3-2. The game against the Eagles was a defensive affair, as the Patriots scored on their first shot of the game 75 minutes into the contest and then held on to take the win. Against DBU, both teams would battle back and forth, as each side had an answer to every goal. It wasn't until a late penalty kick in UT Tyler's favor that they took the lead for good and held on for the win.

WHAT COACH JONES IS SAYING

On recognizing nine seniors before the game Saturday: "That's a great feeling. It makes me want to continue to do what I do. A lot of times we get wrapped up in the soccer part, but these guys are going to go on and impact their communities and we had something to do with that and how they're going to be a part of the world."

On the 2-0 week: "Two different types of opponents. If you're going to be successful in this conference you're going to have see all of the above and deal with all of the above. For our team to get a result in both of those games says a lot about where they are and the things they can do."

On playing the Dustdevils back to back: "It'll be interesting, it's always different when playing at home versus playing on the road. We'll get a good look at them so we will see what happens."
