WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS – UT Tyler notched a third straight 3-0 sweep on Wednesday at Midwestern State.
The Patriots won 25-15 first and second set victories and then closed out their eighth sweep in Lone Star Conference with a 25-21 third set win. Junior

UT Tyler moves to 15-6 on the year and 12-1 in Lone Star Conference play with a win in their first of four road matches to close out the regular season.
The Patriots notched 29 kills between the first and second sets with just a single hitting error in each frame, posting .344 and .485 team hitting percentages.
UT Tyler closed out their first 25-15 win with five unanswered points and a second 25-15 win in the second set with a 6-1 run to end the frame. The Patriots only trailed at the early stages of each stage, controlling the score from start-to-finish in both victories.
Perry led UT Tyler to a sweep in the final set, totaling six kills in the frame including three consecutive efforts to close out the 25-21 win. UT Tyler flipped a 13-10 deficit into a 17-14 lead after a 7-1 run gave the Patriots a 17-14 lead.
Midwestern State tied the game at 19-19 and then again at 21-21 before four unanswered points from the Patriots, including the final three of which came via Perry kills, closed out the victory. UT Tyler went for 18 kills in the third set, improving on the 17 from the second frame.
The Patriots hit .339 for the match, their third consecutive outing with a team hitting percentage north of .300. UT Tyler provided a strong serve throughout the evening, totaling seven aces as a unit.
Setter
Saige Rivera led the team with 42 assists while
Addison Evans (15) and Emma Vasquez (14) both registered 10 or more digs.
Lewis and Rogers-Hurtado were both outstanding from their middle blocker positions as Lewis put down seven kills in just 12 swings for a .583 hitting percentage and Rogers-Hurtado six kills on 10 swings for a .600 hitting percentage.
UT Tyler will travel to Alpine, Texas for a Saturday morning match at Sul Ross State at 11 a.m.
