SENIOR WEEKEND

On Saturday, the Patriots will host a pair of ceremonies as they celebrate their seniors on the program. Approximately 25 minutes prior to game one, UT Tyler will hold a graduation ceremony for those players that will be getting their degrees this semester. Between the two games of the doubleheader, the Patriots will recognize six seniors who will be closing out their playing careers with the Patriots following this season.

LAST TIME OUT

Last weekend, the Patriots drove out to Lawton, Oklahoma to take on Cameron. There, the Patriots got a split in the action, taking both ends of the four game series behind bigtime run support. The weekend was capped off by an unbelievable comeback, in which the Patriots trailed 9-0 before scoring 10 unanswered runs and taking a win after 11 innings of action.

NATIONAL ATTENTION

This week, for the second straight week, the Patriots are receiving votes in the NCBWA Top 25 Poll as released on Wednesday. The Patriots have picked up three votes this week, one more than last week. Joining UT Tyler in the poll from the LSC is #4 West Texas A&M, #20 Lubbock Christian, and #23 Angelo State. #13 Colorado Mesa is the lone representative from the RMAC.

LONE STAR CONFERENCE UPDATE

With just two LSC series left for the Patriots, they hold the number four spot in the latest LSC standings. The top four teams will host a first round best of three series in the opening weekend of the Lone Star Conference Tournament.

West Texas A&M holds the top spot, and have a two game lead on Lubbock Christian. Angelo State comes in at number three, with the Patriots at fourth. Just behind them is UT Permian Basin, who is currently battling to host a first round series. Texas A&M-Kingsville, UAFS, and St. Edward's currently round out the top eight teams.
