LAS CRUCES, N.M. – UT Tyler men's golf finished off the program's first trip to the NCAA Division II South Central/West Regional Championship with a 290 on Saturday morning.
The Patriots best round of the tournament brought their three-round total to 890 (303-297-290) and solidified a 19
th place finish in the event. Junior
Seth Campbell fired a one-under par round of 70 on Saturday and classmate
Jay Shero a 72 to lead the Patriots.
Western New Mexico, Oklahoma Christian, Colorado Christian, West Texas A&M and Cal State Monterey Bay advanced as the top five finishers to the 2024 NCAA Men's Golf National Championship Tournament on May 21-25.
Junior
Jackson Naeger finished as the low individual for UT Tyler with rounds of 71-71-75 for a four-over par 217 in a tie for 27
th place. Classmate
Gage Burnham rounded out the scoring on Saturday for the Patriots with a round of 73, finishing in a tie for 71
st place after rounds of 76-76-73.
Campbell also notched a tie for 71
st place finish with scores of 82-73-70 and Shero a tie for 59
th place after rounds of 74-77-72. Sophomore
Luke Emerson rounded out the scoring for UT Tyler with a round of 76 on Saturday.
