Patriots Baseball Ranked #34 in 64 Analytics Transfer Portal Class Ranking

TYLER, TEXAS – UT Tyler baseball has put together one of the top transfer portal classes in all of NCAA baseball as announced by 64 Analytics this week.

The Patriots brought in nine recruits via four-year transfer, and those nine recruits combine to be the #34 class in all three levels of NCAA baseball, the #2 class in all of NCAA Division II baseball, and the #1 class in the Lone Star Conference.

"This was certainly a unique year in recruiting, as is each coming year with the changing landscape of college athletics," head coach Brent Porche said. "Coach White is as good as it gets and has done a tremendous job of being ahead of the curve and adjusting on the fly to bring in not only talented players, but players who fit the personality and mission of our program.  We ultimately want to take that next step as a program, and I believe this group of returners as well as newcomers has the makings of a group that can take this program to new heights."

Grant Garza (RHP), Mason Hammonds (INF), Bo Willis (C), Cade Conway (OF), Justin Williams (OF/RHP), Spencer Simpson (INF), Brody Logsdon (RHP), Garrett Gearner (RHP), and Silas Cowgill (RHP) comprise the class of transfers for the Patriots. Garza, Hammonds, Willis, Conway, Williams, and Gearner each make the move from NCAA Division I, while Simpson, Logsdon, and Cowgill each come from NCAA Division II schools.

Additionally, Garza, Hammonds, and Willis all sit inside the top 250 of the overall 64 Analytics rankings. Garza is 127th, Hammonds is 174th, and Willis ranks 178th.
