THE LSC UPDATE
UT Dallas leads the men's soccer standings with 13 points at a record of 4-0-1. Midwestern State, Lubbock Christian, St. Edward's, and Sul Ross State make up the rest of the top five. Due to their NCAA Division II transition, UT Dallas is not eligible for the LSC Tournament, meaning that West Texas A&M and DBU would currently occupy the final two spots in the six team tournament.
THE DUSTDEVILS
The Patriots will begin their week by hosting Texas A&M International, who is 3-5-5 on the year and 1-4-1 in LSC play and have a win over St. Mary's in their most recent contest.
The Dustdevils are scoring 1.38 goals per game and are allowing 1.77 while posting 10.5 shots per game and allowing 10.6. Tiziano Klamler, Chris Fuentes, and Kai Louviere each have three goals on the year to lead the team. Ioannis Koupepides is the main goalkeeper, as he has made eight starts while posting 27 saves and a save percentage of .692.
UT Tyler leads the series at 5-2-2 that dates back to 2019. The Patriots are 2-0-2 over the last four games, with one win coming in Tyler and one in Laredo.
THE HILLTOPPERS
St. Edward's is 5-4-3 overall and 3-1-1 in LSC play this season and are riding a two match winning streak over St. Mary's and Texas A&M International.
The Hilltoppers are averaging 1.92 goals per game on 14.3 shots, and their opponents are scoring 1.58 goals per game on 12.4 shots. Individually, they are led by Filip Adamski, who has six goals and an assist to lead the team in goals and points. Angel Ramirez has done the bulk of the goalkeeping duties, making eight starts while posting 28 saves and a .737 save percentage.
The teams are deadlocked at 1-1-2 in the all-time series. St. Edward's took a 2-1 win last season in Austin, and the Patriots lone win came by a 4-1 score back in 2023 in Tyler.
LAST TIME OUT
