INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA – UT Tyler Baseball has earned the No. 4 seed in the NCAA Division II World Series and will face No. 5 seed Northwest Nazarene in their opening-round matchup on May 31 at 12:30 p.m. CT.
This marks the Patriots' first-ever appearance at the Division II World Series, following a dominant sweep of top-seeded Angelo State in the South Central Super Regional.
The championship tournament will be held May 30–June 7 at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina.
The winner of the UT Tyler vs. Northwest Nazarene matchup will advance to face the winner of No. 1 seed Tampa vs. No. 8 seed Felician in Game 4 of the bracket later that day at 5 p.m. CT.
The opposite side of the bracket features No. 2 seed Central Missouri vs. No. 7 seed Northwood, and No. 3 seed Lenoir-Rhyne vs. No. 6 seed East Stroudsburg.
UT Tyler enters the tournament with a program-best 48-11 record and finished second overall in the Lone Star Conference regular season standings. This is the Patriots' second NCAA World Series appearance overall. Their first came at the Division III level in 2018, when they captured the Division III National Championship.
