TYLER, TEXAS – UT Tyler's Drew Schmidt has been named a D2CCA Second Team All-American, while teammate Nick Niebur earned Honorable Mention honors, as announced by the organization on Wednesday.

Schmidt adds the D2CCA accolade to an already stellar 2025 season in which he was also named to the NCBWA All-American Third Team. The sophomore standout broke the program's single-season hits record this year, with these two All-American selections marking the first of his career.

Niebur earned Honorable Mention recognition after an outstanding season out of the bullpen. The senior led the team with 23 appearances and posted an impressive 1.50 ERA.

Both players will look to carry their strong performances into the NCAA Division II World Series, where UT Tyler enters as the No. 4 seed. The Patriots will open play on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. CT.
