TYLER, TEXAS – The University of Texas at Tyler men's soccer program was named a United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award winner as announced on Friday.
 
A total of 697 soccer teams (283 men, 414 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2024-25 academic year. Of that total, 151 schools had both their men's and women's programs recognized, including UT Tyler.
 
The Patriots in 2024 earned their third ever trip to the LSC Tournament, finishing their season in the quarterfinal round. They totaled a 4-6-7 record overall and went 2-2-6 in LSC play.
 
UT Tyler will open up their season at the friendly turf of Citizens 1^st Bank-Perkins Soccer Complex against DBU on September 4^th.
