A LOOK BACK

2024 saw the Patriots qualify for their third LSC Tournament in program history after going 2-2-6 in LSC play for 12 points. They finished 4-6-7 in regular season competition. Leading the charge were All-LSC honorees Oscar Sosa, Danny DeMarais, and Diego Cruz, each of which return this season for the Patriots.

THE PRESEASON POLL

The Patriots were selected 7th in the 2025 Lone Star Conference Preseason Poll, slipping just one spot back from their finish in the 2024 campaign. Midwestern State, St. Mary's, St. Edward's, DBU, and West Texas A&M made up the top five in the poll.

Oscar Sosa and William Kenne were selected as LSC Preseason Offensive and Defensive Players to Watch.

THE NON-CONFERENCE SLATE

The Patriots will see a pair of ranked opponents in non-conference play, as well as face off with four total regional opponents in Super Region IV in what will be a good early season test for the program.

Following the contest against DBU, the Patriots next week host #17 UCCS and Colorado Christian on their home turf. The season continues on the road against #20 Rogers State and Harding before they face off with GNAC opponents Saint Martin's and Simon Fraser in neutral site matchups to wrap up the non-conference portion of the schedule.

THE DBU PATRIOTS

DBU finished 2024 with a record of 6-5-8 overall and 4-3-3 in LSC play while making the LSC Tournament Semifinals. They would go on to fall in penalty kicks to St. Mary's to finish their season.

As a team, the Patriots scored 1.42 goals per game while allowing 1.37. They record a .429 shots on goal percentage while holding opponents to a .354 percentage in the same category.

The program was tabbed fourth in the LSC Preseason Poll and return a core of 18 players that finished fifth last season. Gavyn Rosales and Evan Lupo were named LSC Offensive and Defensive Players to Watch and will play large roles for the program this season.
