UT Tyler senior Emmerson Doyle was named the Lone Star Conference Women's Golfer of the Week for the second straight week.

The Patriots senior carded a 4-under 68-73-71—212 to win medalist honors and lead the Patriots to the team title at the Battle for the Belt at Hot Spring Country Club in Hot Springs, Ark. Doyle got off to a hot start and never looked back leading wire-to-wire and was one of just four golfers under par in the field of 73.

Doyle's first round was the lowest of the tournament. She led the field in par 4 scoring average (3.87) and recorded 11 birdies, including three straight in the opening round.

UT Tyler and Doyle will look to carry their momentum into the East Bay Fall Invitational at Stonebrae Country Club in Hayward, California this weekend.

UT Tyler Freshman Braden Stokes was named the Lone Star Conference Men's Golfer of the Week after taking home the individual title in his first career tournament.

The first year Patriot shot 10-under par 68-67-68—203 to win the Ryan Palmer Foundation Invite at Amarillo County Club in Amarillo, Texas. Stokes led the field of 90 golfers with 17 birdies, including six in the final round.

He was the only golfer to have all three rounds in the 60s. Stokes tied for the top par 4 scoring average (3.79) and his play helped the Patriots to a top 10 team finish.

UT Tyler and Stokes will take part in the NCAA South Central / West Regional Preview, October 26th at Dominion Country Club down in San Antonio.
