Men’s Golf Selected to Third Straight NCAA South Central/West Regional Championship

INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA – UT Tyler men's golf has earned their third straight selection into the NCAA South Central/West Regional Championship as announced by the organization on Sunday evening.

UT Tyler is the number eight seed from the South Central Region, where seven of the 10 teams are from the Lone Star Conference.

This selection for the team is the 12th overall in program history and third in the Division II era. They are searching for their second NCAA Championship in program history as they look to follow up their 2013 win.

The regional competition will take place May 7-9 at The Reserve at Spanos Park in Stockton, California and will be hosted by Visit Stockton and the California Collegiate Athletic Association.

At a minimum, the top three teams and the top two student-athletes not with a team from each regional will advance to the finals, May 18–22 at the Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nevada. The remaining eight team berths will be allocated based on the regions represented in the prior year's head-to-head medal play portion of the championships, with the maximum number of teams from a given region capped at seven. The finals will be hosted by the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority:
