Cole Ketzner has been selected as a National Collegiate Baseball Writer's Association Honorable Mention All-American as announced on Wednesday afternoon.
This is his first ever All-American honor and he is now the fourth NCBWA All-American selection in the Division II era of the program's history. The Magnolia, Texas native is hitting .362 on the season over 54 games with 15 doubles and 12 homers. He has added in 64 RBI, 46 runs, a .469 on-base percentage, and a .633 slugging percentage.
He adds the All-American honor to First Team All-Region honors from both the D2CCA and NCBWA, and was also named the LSC Player of the Year.
Ketzner and the Patriots will now set their sights on the NCAA South Central Super Regionals this week. They will take on Colorado Mesa in Grand Junction, Colorado May 21-23 in a best of three series. The winner will advance to the NCAA Division II World Series.
