2020: Started all 20 games and ranked third on the team in batting average, batting .365 (23-for-63) in the shortened season… Led the team in at-bats (63), runs (22), hits (23) and stolen bases (8)… Opened the season on a 13-game hitting streak while producing a .488 average during the streak… Became UT Tyler’s first Lone Star Conference Player of the Week recipient after leading UT Tyler to 5 wins in the second week of the season to claim the Feb. 11 award, batting .563 (9-for-16) with 6 walks and 7 runs on the week… Earned Lone Star Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll recognition in the fall and spring semesters, helping UT Tyler claim the 2019-20 LSC Softball Academic Team Championship.

2019: Named to All-ASC third team… Batted .337 (32-for-95) on the season with 30 runs, 10 RBIs, 14 walks, and just 9 strikeouts… Ranked second on the team in stolen bases (5) and third in runs scored (30)... Had 7 multi-hit games… Over the final 10 games of the season, batted .448 (13-for-29)… During that stretch, went 4-for-4 in a 9-0 win over Louisiana College… … Named to ASC All-Academic Team.

2018: Swinney was a pinch running specialist for the season, appearing in 36 games but only registering four at-bats. She did record two hits, including a double, and came around to score 16 runs.

PERSONAL: Swinney is the daughter of John and Tammie and is a sister to Hayden. Friend Breanna Russell plays softball at Texas Tech, Kaitlyn Stebelton plays softball at Crowley's Ridge College, Triston Scherer plays baseball at Our Lady of the Lake University, and Daniel Balderrama plays baseball at University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley. Swinney studies kinesiology and plans to become a physical therapist after graduation. She chose UT Tyler for the beautiful campus and the championship atmosphere. She was impressed with the facilities.
