Biography

2018: Wilson saw an offensive explosion during his junior campaign with a .373 batting average which was third-highest on the team. He led the Patriots with 88 hits, nearly twice as many as his sophomore total, to break the singles season Patriot record. Also adding 16 walks, Wilson drove in 31 runs and tied for the second-most runs scored with 43. His 15 doubles were third-most by a Patriot batter while he also added a pair of triples. Playing in 58 games with the postseason run, Wilson tied the program record for games played in a season. At the end of the regular season, Wilson received a First Team All-ASC nod before latter earning ABCA/Rawling All-Region honors.

2017: As a sophomore, Wilson batted .305 in 46 games. He reached base on 46 hits and 23 walks while recording four doubles and a triple. Knocking in 22 runs, Wilson also came around to score 24 runs himself. He upped his hits and RBI totals in his second season for career-highs. At the end of the regular season, Wilson was named Honorable Mention All-ASC.

2016: Fourth on the team with a .319 batting average as a freshman, Wilson appeared in 41 games and registered 138 at-bats. He reached base with 44 hits, fifth-most on the team, and 10 walks with six of his hits going for two bases. He was responsible for 40 runs, driving in 13 before scoring 27 more himself.  At the end of the regular season, Wilson was named Honorable Mention All-ASC and to the ASC All-Tournament Team.

Hometown: Midlothian, TX

Wilson attended Midlothian High School, there he played baseball under
Coach Ray Hydes. In high school he was awarded 2nd Team All District
Outfielder. He played with the travel ball team the Ellis County
Prospects, coached by Hayden Chick.

Personal:
Parents are Lisa and Ricky Wilson, sibling to Breanne Sheets. Wilson is
majoring in Kinesiology, and plans to be a baseball coach.
