2018: Farris was at the top of nearly every offensive category for the Patriots during his first season. He led the team with a .388 batting average in 206 at-bats. His 80 hits were second-most on the team and second-most for a season in Patriot history with 20 going for two bases and also adding one home run. With 46 RBI’s and 43 runs scored, Farris was second in the Patriots’ lineup in both categories. Wilson slugged .500 which was also second-highest in the lineup. On the base paths, Farris stole 19 bases for the season including four on March 23 to break the program single game record. After the regular season, he was named First Team All-ASC. At the end of the season, Farris was named to the NCAA DIII Championship All-Tournament Team while he was also named all-region by ABCA/Rawlings and D3Baseball.com.
Farris attended Farmersville High School home of the fighting farmers.
He was coached under coach Jon Nordin. In high school he was awarded
All District in baseball. He was apart of the travel team the Blacksox
and was coached under Allen Trayler. Farris previously attended
Northlake College and was awarded All Region.
Personal:
Parents are Houston Farris and Heidi Farris and brother to sibling to
Francesca Farris … Bowie is majoring in general business. He hopes to
own his own business one day.
