Robert Bardin will enter his fourth season with UT Tyler Baseball after joining the program in 2019 as the Character and Life Coach. His role is to help with character and leadership development focusing on the Core Values of the UT Tyler Baseball program.

Bardin serves as the Area Director for Northeast Texas Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He started work with FCA in 2011. He oversees the FCA ministry on the Middle School, High School and College and University campuses in the 14 counties which make up the Northeast Texas area. Â For the last 4 years his primary focus has been the University of Texas at Tyler. Fellowship of Christian Athletes has provided the opportunity for him to combine the two passions of his life, ministry, and sports.

Bardin graduated from Oklahoma Baptist University in 1986 with a bachelor’s degree in religious education. He ran two outdoor seasons and one indoor season for the Bison Track and Field Team. He ran on the 4x100 and 4x400 relays and Long Jumped. Bardin earned his master’s degree in Religious Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1990.

Robert and his wife, Barbara, are both originally from Dallas, but have called Tyler home since 1997. They have a son, Taylor, and daughter-in-law, Taylor Anne.
