Biography
OVERALL: For his career, Uhlig sits atop the Patriot record book with a 72.24 career scoring average and 28 par-or-better rounds.
2018-19: Uhlig was one of three Patriots to compete in all eight tournaments and 23 rounds over the course of the season recording one of the best seasons in Patriot history. His 71.74 strokes per round is the best in program history while he also broke his own school records for birdies in a season with 89, par-four scoring, and par-five scoring. At the Rhodes College Fall Classic, Uhlig broke the program records for 36 and 54-hole scores by carding a 132 (-10) in the first two rounds and finishing with a 203 (-13) en route to medalist honors. He was also the top finisher at the 2019 Linda Lowery Invitational. At the end of the season, Uhlig was named Second Team All-ASC after receiving Player of the Week honors four times during the season.
2017-18: In his first season as a Patriot, Uhlig recorded the second-lowest stroke average over 26 rounds played. He average 72.69 strokes per round which included 15 rounds at par or better and four rounds in the 60’s. His season average rans as the fourth-best in UT Tyler history and helped Uhlig reach as high as sixth in the national rankings. His 88 birdies on the season rank as the most in program history while his four eagles are second most for a single season. At the end of the season, Uhlig was named First Team All-ASC after taking the conference individual crown and was later a PING All-West Region, All-Nicklaus Team, and PING All-America honoree. Adding to the list of honors, he was named a Jack Nicklaus National Player of the Year Semifinalist.
