Noel Maurin

This is Noel Maurin’s first year at UT Tyler, and is currently serving on the Patriots coaching staff as a Graduate Assistant for the men’s and women’s tennis team, while completing his master’s in business administration.

Noel Maurin started his career at Mesa Community College where he played for coaches Adam Cohen and Ali Borhani. While with the Thunderbirds, he helped lead the program to back-to-back undefeated seasons in the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACCAC). He set multiple school records while playing number 1 doubles and was a big part of the program's two highest finishes at the national championships.

After Mesa and prior to his Graduate Assistant position, Noel Maurin attended Ottawa University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in business.

While at Ottawa, Noel Maurin was part of the school's inaugural men’s tennis team and helped guide the team to finish as finalists in the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) National Championships.

“Noel’s leadership on and off the court while playing for me at Mesa Community College made it an easy decision for me to hire him as our Graduate Assistant,” said Coach Cohen. “He has already made a huge impact with our program and I have no doubt he is going to be a key factor in our goal to have the best tennis program in the Lone Star Conference.”

“I am excited to join the coaching staff at UT Tyler, because they have an unbelievable track record of success. I’ve seen how they dominated the ASC Conference for years, and once I found out they were transitioning to NCAA Division II, I knew I wanted to be a part of what they were doing.” said Maurin. “I am looking forward to learning and developing as a coach and person under the direction of Coach Cohen and Coach Vann, and I hope to help assist in getting the program to succeed in the Lone Star Conference.”
