Biography

2017-18

INDOOR: His second career victory came at the UCO Open when he defeated the field in the 200-meters with a time of 22.59. He recorded a career-best in the same event when he finished in 22.25 seconds at the Texas A&M Twilight. Richardson also set a career-best in the 400-meters when he finished in 48.94 seconds at the same meet. His lone appearance in the 60-meter dash also resulted in a career-best performance of 7.03 in the prelims of the UCO Invite.
OUTDOOR: Richardson advanced to the NCAA Division III Championships in the 400-meters after turning in a career-best time of 47.88 seconds at the ASC Championships taking the top spot at the meet. He finished 17th at the national meet with his preliminary time of 48.31 seconds. At the East Texas Invite, Richardson set a career-best 200-meter time when he finished in 21.87 seconds. He also won the 200-meters at the McMurry War Hawk Classic and the Missouri Southern Twilight. He also competed twice in the 4x100-meter relay and twice in the 4x400-meter relay.

2016-17

INDOOR: Specializing in sprints, Richards competed four times in both the 200 and 400-meters. His top time in the 200-meters came at the John Thomas Terrier Invite when he finished in 22.48 seconds. Richardson won the 200-meters at the Leonard Hilton Memorial Invite to open the indoor season. In the 400-meters, his top performance came at the Dunamis Sports Group College Classic I when he finished in 50.37 seconds. Running in the 60-meter dash twice, Richards finished in 7.21 seconds at the Texas A&M Twilight, good enough for fourth-place.
OUTDOOR: He ran his first career sub-22 second 200-meters at the conference meet. His career-best time of 21.88 seconds was good enough for sixth-place. In the 400-meters, Richardson turned in a top performance of 49.02 seconds at the ASC Championships, finishing second. He also competed in the 100-meter dash and long jump with season-best marks of 11.11 seconds and 20’45.25”.

2015-16

INDOOR: Richardson ran at two meets as a freshman. At the Emory CrossPlex Invite, he ran in the 200-meters and 400-meters with times of 24.07 and 53.41. He also competed at the Howie Ryan Invite, Richards finished the 60-meter dash in 7.33 while also helping the 4x400-meter relay team to a finish of 3:30.77.
OUTDOOR: Richardson made his mark with the 4x400-meter relay team. Competing in the event at seven meets, he helped the relay to a time of 3:18.35 at the ASC Championships to capture the conference title. Also at the conference meet, Richardson finished second in the 400-meters and fourth in the 200-meters with season-best times of 49.08 seconds and 22.44 seconds, respectively.
