Dani Elder

Dani Elder begins her first year as a member of the UT Tyler softball coaching staff in 2025.

Elder joins the Patriots following a successful tenure as an assistant coach with San Jacinto Community College and will bring extended ties to high level softball throughout the state of Texas to the program. The League City, Texas native appeared in 124 games between her five-year playing career at Texas A&M and Texas State and was twice named as a member of the SEC Honor Roll during her time with the Aggies.
 
Her transition into the coaching realm began as a graduate assistant at Texas State in 2023 following the completion of her playing career, during which time she served as the Director of Operations for the Bobcats. Elder spent last season as an assistant at San Jacinto Community College, helping guide the Ravens to their seventh appearance in the NJCAA World Series.
 
Elder was a part of a coaching staff that led San Jacinto to a 42-22 overall record and a share of the Region XIV South Conference Championship. She assisted in all aspects of the program including day-to-day operations, practices, game planning and recruiting.
 
Elder will also bring experience working with elite travel ball programs having worked as an assistant with the 18U Impact Gold last summer.

She earned a Master's Degree in Exercise and Sport Science from Texas State in 2023 and obtained her Bachelor's of Science with a Minor in Coaching and RPTS from Texas A&M in 2021.
