Ryan Wieligman enters his first season with UT Tyler softball beginning with the 2020-21 school year, and he will assist with infielders, hitting, and recruiting. Wieligman will also be in charge of the Patriots’ softball camps.
Wieligman joins UT Tyler after one season at Henderson State, where he worked with infielders and also assisted with hitting and recruiting. He was an infielder for the Reddies’ baseball program and earned Great American Conference All-Academic honors. Prior to Henderson State, Wieligman played two seasons of baseball at Cowley College in Kansas.
Wieligman has worked as an instructor at several large NCAA DI camps during his high school and college years, including stops at Oklahoma State, Kansas, Arkansas and Ole Miss.
“We are excited to add Wieligman to our staff,” UT Tyler head coach Mike Reed said. “He is a tireless worker who has coached softball all over the region. He is a great addition to our staff.”
