Former Patriot Tristin Anders enters her first season as an Assistant Coach with the UT Tyler softball program and will work primarily with the team's outfielders and slap hitters.

Anders recently completed a two-year career with the Patriots in which she batted a career .276 in 54 games for UT Tyler. She hit .283 in the shortened 2020 season, appearing and starting in all 20 games for a UT Tyler team that went 17-3.

The Mont Belvieu, Texas native then helped lead the Patriots to a 33-7 overall record and the 2021 Lone Star Conference Regular Season Championship in 2021, the program's first full season competing in the conference. She was named as both a 2021 LSC All-Academic Team selection and as a 2021 LSC Scholar Athlete after graduating following the spring semester with a degree in Kinesiology.

Anders hit .270 for that 2021 season, appearing in 54 games with 36 runs scored and 26 RBI.

Prior to her career as a Patriot, Anders helped guide Angelina College to a national runner-up finish at the NJCAA World Series in 2019. She batted .374 that season with nine doubles, four triples and seven home runs in 52 games played. She began her collegiate career in 2018 as a freshman at Lamar University, appearing in 37 games with a pair of starts.
