Biography

2018: In 65 at-bats, Resendez tallied 19 hits including a pair of doubles and a home run. Including her seven walks, her on-base percentage sat at .459 for the season. She was also hit by 13 pitches which is tied for third most in a season for a Patriot batter. Resendez drove in 10 runs and came around to score more times than she reached via a hit with 22 runs.

PERSONAL: Resendez is the daughter of Tesi Trevino and Mark Cervantes and a sister to Justin, Zach, Ashley, and Johnmatthew. She played her high school softball for Liz Wissell at Austin high School. Resendez studies Kinesiology and plans to be a coach after her time at UT Tyler. She chose UT Tyler to become part of a powerhouse program and knew that after her time at UT Tyler, she would be a new and improved version of herself.
