2018: Batting near the middle of the lineup, Mitchell provided plenty of power for the Patriots. She was second on the team with 12 homeruns and also added three doubles and a triple. She batted .383 and slugged .766 in 107 at-bats while also adding 51 RBI’s and 21 runs scored. Her season slugging percentage is seventh-highest in UT Tyler history while the home run total marks the ninth-most in a season for a Patriot batter. Her on-base percentage finished at .477 after she reached 15 times on a walk. At the end of the season, Mitchell was honored with second team All-ASC accolades.

PERSONAL: Lynsey is the daughter of Joel Mitchell and Kevin and Angie Teeler. She is a sister to Sara Mitchell and Thomas Teeler. Her Uncle, Travis Williams played Baseball at Texas A&M from 1988-1992, her Aunt Sandra Williams ran Track for Texas A&M from 1988-1992. Her Uncle Jordy Mitchell played Junior College Baseball in 1999 and 2000 before playing at Texas A&M in 2001 and 2002. Mitchell played her high school softball for Charice Hawkins at Liberty Hill where she graduated in 2015. Mitchell studies Kinesiology and plans to become a Physical Therapist after her time at UT Tyler. She chose UT Tyler for the highly competitive and successful softball program and the outstanding Kinesiology program. She attended Angelina College and has grandparents in the Tyler area, she knew this is where she wanted to be.
