2020: Played in 14 games, starting 3 times… Scored 6 runs in those 14 appearances and batted .182 (2-for-11) with 2 RBIs, 2 walks, and 1 stolen base… Earned Lone Star Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll recognition in the fall and spring semesters, helping UT Tyler claim the 2019-20 LSC Softball Academic Team Championship.
2019: Played a key role as a reserve and started 5 games in the final month of the Patriots’ 36-4 campaign, finishing with 26 appearances and 6 starts… Batted .320 (8-for-25) with 11 runs, 7 RBIs, 1 double, 1 triple, 1 home run, and 5 walks… Hit her first collegiate home run in an 11-0 win over UT Dallas, a two-run shot in her first at-bat of the contest… Named to ASC All-Academic Team.
2018: Harris batted .333 in 24 at-bats. She recorded eight hits in her 29 games with one going for extra bases, a triple, and added eight RBI’s and eight runs scored.
PERSONAL: Harris is the daughter of Brian and LeAnn and a sister to Landon and Ashlyn. She played her high school softball at Brenham High School under coach Jamie Maurer. Harris is studying Health and Kinesiology and plans to become a physical therapist after her time at UT Tyler. She chose UT Tyler for the culture of hard work, competitiveness, and success. The coaching staff showed a genuine sense of interest in the well being of all the players, wanting them to succeed both in softball and in life.
