Biography
OVERALL: For her career, Denton averaged 80.46 strokes per round over 84 rounds played. That number ranks as sixth-best in UT Tyler history. She is one of just 10 Patriots to ever take medalist honors at a tournament while her two rounds at par or better are fourth-best in program history.
2018-19: Competing in nine tournaments and 18 rounds, Denton led the Patriots with a 78.33 scoring averages. Her season-low round came in the opening round of the Al and Nancy Jones Jr. Memorial when she carded a 69 (+3) which is tied for the fifth-lowest round in Patriot history. She went on to card a two-round 144 (E) to take medalist honors at the event. Denton earned another top-five finish at the DIII West Region Invitational where she finished fourth with a two-round 158 (+14). At the end of the season, Denton was named First Team All-ASC and was twice named ASC Golfer of the Week during the season.
2017-18: Denton saw action in 10 tournaments and 22 rounds while averaging 83.18 strokes per round. Her season low was a 76 while she also earned a fourth-place individual finish.
2016-17: Playing in a career-high 23 rounds, Denton averaged 79.52 strokes per round. With a season-low round of 73 and a runner-up finish, she reached as high as 71 in the national rankings.
2015-16: In her first collegiate season, Denton competed in 10 tournaments and 21 rounds with a scoring average of 80.48. She had one round at par (72) during the season and recorded a runner-up finish. Denton reached as high as 96 in the national rankings.
