Biography

2020: Made 3 appearances as a pitcher including a pair of starts… Threw 1.1 scoreless innings in her first collegiate appearance when she started against St. Martin’s in a 12-4 win at the Desert Stinger Classic on the opening weekend of the season… Registered season-highs in innings and strikeouts the very next day when she made an early relief appearance with 2.2 innings and 3 strikeouts in a 7-6 win over Dominican to help UT Tyler clinch the Desert Stinger Classic championship… Made her third appearance in the Patriots’ 17-15 win over No. 23-ranked Arkansas Tech… Earned Lone Star Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll recognition in the fall and spring semesters, helping UT Tyler claim the 2019-20 LSC Softball Academic Team Championship.

PERSONAL: Fort is the daughter of Aaron and Reine, and she has two siblings, brother Dyllan and sister Katie. Has a cousin, Amanda Chapa, who played volleyball at Abilene Christian University. She attended Pearland High School in Pearland, Texas, where she played four years of varsity softball for Coach Laneigh Clark. Fort is majoring in Kinesiology and plans to work in sports medicine. She chose UT Tyler because she loves the campus and location, and she felt that UT Tyler was the right place to help prepare her to be successful on and off the field.
