Dalton Johnson took over the Sports Information Coordinator role on December 1, 2024 after serving as the Assistant Sports Information Coordinator for the prior three seasons. 

In the summer of 2022, the UT Tyler Sports Information Department was honored as the inaugural Lone Star Conference Sports Information Staff of the Year. Johnson was apart of a staff that oversaw the media relations operations for the 2022-24 Lone Star Conference Softball Championships, the 2022-25 NCAA Division II Softball Regionals and the 2022-25 NCAA Division II Softball Super Regionals.

Johnson joins the Patriots after serving as a Manager for Group Sales for the Allen Americans Professional Hockey Club in Allen, Texas. Johnson assisted with the sales and promotions of season tickets and produced over $27,000 in ticket sales despite the uncertainties to due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Prior to his time in Allen, Johnson served as a Sales Associate for Schulman's Movie Bowl Grille and was also an Outside Operations worker at TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney, Texas.

He served as the Graduate Assistant for the men's and women's golf team at his alma mater Southern Arkansas during the 2017-18 season, and completed a Game Operations Internship with the Muleriders during his graduate studies at Southern Arkansas. During his undergrad years, Johnson worked as an Athletic Department Student Worker within the Athletic Communications department at Southern Arkansas. His duties included working various game operations duties while assisting both the Sports Information and Marketing departments within the Athletic Department.

Johnson competed as a student-athlete on the Southern Arkansas University men's golf team following a standout prep career at Denison High School. He graduated from Southern Arkansas University in May of 2017 with his Bachelor's Degree in Health, Kinesiology and Recreation with a Sports Management Emphasis.

In his spare time Johnson enjoys playing golf and hanging out with friends and family.
