University of Texas at Tyler Athletics

Diana Darnell recently completed her 18th year with the athletic department at The University of Texas at Tyler in 2023-2024 after joining the staff in January of 2005.

Diana serves as the administrative associate in the department, where she handles day-to-day operations for athletics administration as well as assisting coaches for men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s soccer, softball, men’s and women’s tennis, and spirit squad.

Her additional duties include administrative support for marketing, special events, and game operations.

Diana received her certificate of completion in accounting from McKenzie-Baldwin Business College in Bryan, Texas in 1982 and continues to work on college education as time allows.  She has three sons and one daughter--Kendall, Kerry, Kensey and Kelsey.
