PINEVILLE, Louisiana - The #17 UT Tyler Volleyball team took on Louisiana College on Saturday. The Patriots defeated the Wildcats in straight sets to improve to 22-1 on the season.
SET 1: #17 UT Tyler 25 - Louisiana College 10
The Patriots would open the first set on a 14-4 run, giving UT Tyler an early 10-point advantage. A late eight-point run put the Patriots ahead 22-6 before UT Tyler recorded the 15-point win to open the match.
SET 2: #17 UT Tyler 25 - Louisiana College 20
UT Tyler pulled ahead 5-0 in the second set before the Wildcats were able to bring the game within seven in the late goings of the second set. Ahead 24-20, UT Tyler picked up the second set win on an attacking error to pull ahead 2-0.
SET 1: #17 UT Tyler 25 - Louisiana College 11
After the Patriots opened the third set ahead 8-4, UT Tyler scored six straight to open a 14-4 lead. Ahead 19-11, UT Tyler recorded the final six points of the match, claiming the 3-0 win on the road.
The Patriots return to action in Richardson, Texas on Tuesday. UT Tyler will take on UT Dallas at 7:00 p.m.
