RICHARDSON, Texas - The #16 UT Tyler Volleyball team took on UT-Dallas on Tuesday night in Richardson. UT Tyler fell 0-3, moving to 22-2 on the season.
Tuesday's loss ended a 17-game winning streak, the longest in program history.
The Week 8 AVCA NCAA Division III Coaches Poll ranked UT Tyler as the nation's #16 team on Tuesday afternoon.
SET 1: #16 UT Tyler 16 - UT Dallas 25
With the set even at 12, a Comet run put UT Tyler behind 12-20. The Patriots brought the set to 16-24 before UT Dallas recorded the set point.
SET 2: #16 UT Tyler 20 - UT Dallas 25
The Patriots opened an early 8-4 lead in the second set before leading 12-7 in the middle of the set. Up 15-12 a UT Dallas run allowed the Comets to pull ahead 16-15. UT Tyler brought the set to 19-20 before a second run from UT Dallas put UT Tyler down 0-2 after a 20-25 second set loss.
SET 3: #16 UT Tyler 21 - UT Dallas 25
A pair of runs from the Patriots and Comets led to a 15-15 tie in the third set of the match. A pair of three-point runs allowed UT Dallas to take the third set 25-21.

#16 UT Tyler will play their final home games of the 2018 season on Saturday, October 27 at the Hendrix College tournament. UT Tyler will face Louisiana College and Hendrix.
