TYLER, Texas - The UT Tyler Women's Soccer team hosted Louisiana College in a Thursday afternoon matchup at home. The Patriots defeated the Wildcats 2-0, moving to 10-2-1 overall. 

Landri Edwards put UT Tyler ahead early in Thursday's game, scoring in the 16th minute. Edward's played a corner kick from Willow Herndon into the back of the net. 

The 1-0 lead would hold through the first half of the game. 

Wooten would get her chance on goal in the 62nd minute of play. After a ball played forward from Kiara Rolen, Wooten broke away from the Wildcat defenders. From eight yards out, Wooten would put her shot past the keeper, giving the Patriots a 2-0 lead. 

UT Tyler would out-shoot Louisiana College 20-2 in the match, putting 12 shots on goal. 

Maya Dossing recorded her third consecutive shutout in the win. 

UT Tyler concludes the 2018 season on Saturday when they host Belhaven. Senior Day ceremonies are scheduled and the match will begin at 1:00 p.m.
