TYLER, Texas—The University of Texas at Tyler (4-8) returned to their home court and dropped a match to NCAA Division II No. 33 Midwestern State University (6-2) Thursday afternoon by a score of 5-2.

Alexandra McKissick (Houston, Texas) picked up a win at number-two over the 42
nd ranked team in the NCAA Division II, 6-4. Freshman
Chloe Chawner (Holmfirth Yorkshire, England) and senior
Victoria Kniffen (Kerrville, Texas) won their fifth match together this season with a 6-3 victory at number-three.
Moving to singles competition, senior
Lauren Kuhn (Carrolton, Texas) had a strong showing at number-three. She lost the first set, 6-3, before falling in the second by a 6-1 score. At number-six, senior
Savannah Seely (North Richland, Texas) also took four games over the course of the match falling 6-1, 6-3.
The Patriots will be back in action on Sunday when they travel to Clarksville, Arkansas for a 1 p.m. matchup with the University of the Ozarks.
