LONGVIEW, Texas—The University of Texas at Tyler Women's Tennis (9-9) competed in their final matchup with an American Southwest Conference opponent Monday evening when they defeated LeTourneau University (8-9) with a 7-2 score.
The Patriots got a pair of wins in doubles action at numbers-two and three in the lineup. Senior

Brooke Brewer (McKinney, Texas) teamed up to win their fourth-consecutive match together by an 8-5 score. With an 8-1 victory at number-three, freshman
Chloe Chawner (Holmfirth Yorkshire, England) and senior
Victoria Kniffen (Kerrville, Texas) recorded a team-high ninth win together this season.
Brewer was the lone Patriot to pick up a pair of victories on the day with a win in singles play. At number-four, she earned a 6-2, 6-1 win to pick up her team-leading ninth win of the season. Sophomore
Caitlyn Cox (Tyler, Texas) and senior
Savannah Seely (North Richland Hills, Texas) made quick work of their opponents at numbers-five and six in the lineup. Cox earned her third straight win with back to back 6-0 set scores while Seely earned a 6-0, 6-1 win for her third-consecutive victory.
Senior
Lauren Kuhn (Carrolton, Texas) picked up her seventh win of the season at number-three in the lineup. She quickly took the first set, 6-1, before sealing the match, 6-3. The final singles victory came from freshman
Anna Claire Gerletti (Cypress, Texas) at number-two. She took 7-5 win in the first set before her opponent forced a third set which went to Gerletti, 6-2.
The Patriots' 2019 season will come to a close on Thursday when they travel to Austin, Texas for a matchup with future Lone Star Conference opponent St. Edward's University at noon.
