TYLER, Texas - Former Patriot Student-Athlete Whitney Simmons has qualified to compete in the Women's Hammer Throw at the 2019 Toyota USA Senior Track and Field Championships.

The 2019 Toyota USA Senior Track and Field Championships will be held July 25-28 in Des Moines, Iowa. 
 
Simmons, a White Oak, Texas native is the most decorated Student-Athlete in not only the Patriot Track and Field program but in UT Tyler Athletics history. As a Student Athlete, Simmons won the NCAA Division III National Championship in the Hammer Throw. Simmons is a five-time All American and school record holder. Simmons qualified for The 2019 Toyota USA Senior Track and Field Championship with a qualifying mark of 62.44 m. (204' 8").  

The 2019 Toyota USA Senior Track and Field Championships will be streamed at the following links. The women's hammer competition will take place on Saturday, July 27 at 12:30 PM.
