INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA – Aerin Thompson placed 16^th in the 400 meters at the NCAA Indoor Championships on Thursday afternoon.
 
Thompson was the lone competitor for the Patriots on Thursday as she competed in the 400 meter preliminary round.
 
Thompson ran in heat number four on the day and would place third in that heat. She ran a time of 55.11 in the event, missing out on the finals cut by .79 seconds.
 
She will wrap up USTFCCCA Second Team All-American honors for her efforts, marking her second straight All-American honor at the Indoor Championships.
 
UT Tyler will be back to work on Friday, as both Ashton Turner and Dylan Bennett will compete in the 60 meter hurdles and 200 meters, respectively.
