The Patriots were outshot by a 22-6 margin in the defeat, as they fell to 3-3 overall and 1-1 in Lone Star Conference play. Lubbock Christian completes an impressive weekend sweep on the road of A&M-Commerce and UT Tyler to improve to 5-2 overall, 2-0 in the Lone Star.

How It Happened: Lubbock Christian gained the early lead on Haley Knesek's ninth-minute score off an assist from Celia Duarte. That 1-0 lead help up through halftime, as the Lady Chaps generated an 11-2 advantage in shots in the opening half. LCU added a goal in the 60th minute from Tegan Wilson, and Knesek added her second goal of the game in the 86th minute.

By The Numbers: Lubbock Christian produced a 22-6 advantage in shots, putting 11 of their 22 shots on goal while limiting UT Tyler to just one shot on goal… LCU also finished with a 7-1 edge in corner kicks… Sophomore goalkeeper Camri Cecil tied her season-high in saves with 5… Sophomore defender Carrie Gilliland produced the Patriots' only shot on goal… UT Tyler's only corner kick and only shot on goal both came in the final three minutes of the contest… Four different LCU players registered at least three shots, including Knesek who scored on two of her four attempts.

What's Next: Up next for UT Tyler is its first Lone Star Conference road trip, and it's the longest road trip of the season. The Patriots visit Eastern New Mexico on Thursday, Oct. 3, at 7 p.m., before traveling across the New Mexico/Texas border to Canyon, Texas, for a Saturday, Oct. 5 visit to West Texas A&M.

Quotable (UT Tyler head coach Stefani Webb): "We made three mistakes today, and I give Lubbock Christian a lot of credit for taking advantage of all three. I thought we played well for the most part, but good teams will take advantage of mistakes, and that's exactly what happened with our mistakes today."
