Box Score PENSACOLA, Fla. -- UT Tyler wrapped up a two-match road trip with a 5-0 defeat in a challenging matchup at NCAA Division II's No. 4-ranked West Florida Saturday.
 
The Patriots won the No. 2 doubles match with Gonzalo Fernandez Gil and Jorge Sala Frigeri winning in a tiebreaker, but West Florida collected a 6-4 win at the No. 1 doubles to go with a 6-1 win at No. 3 doubles to give the Argonauts the doubles point.
 
Three Patriots won their first set of singles play, including Jan Lucca Marquardt (No. 1 singles), Yudai Watanabe (No. 4), and Jonas Dixon (No. 6), but their opponents all won the second set to force a third. At No. 1, Serdar Bojadjiev finished strong for a 3-6, 6-4, 6-1 over Marquardt, and Lluis Miralles Miro added a 4-6, 6-3, 6-1 win. West Florida collected straight-sets victories at No. 2 and No. 5 singles to clinch the match.
 
UT Tyler returns to action on Saturday, March 27, visiting St. Mary's in the first of seven matches in a 22-day span against Lone Star Conference opponents to close out the regular season.
