Box Score WICHITA FALLS, Texas -- The UT Tyler women's tennis team lost its first match against a ranked Division II opponent, wrapping up 3 matches in 2 days with a 4-0 defeat to No. 14-ranked Southwest Baptist Saturday afternoon in Wichita Falls.
 
The Bearcats won each of the first two doubles matches to claim the doubles point, and Southwest Baptist claimed straight-set victories at the No. 1, No. 2, and No. 4 singles spots to finish off the victory. Leony Deutschmann split her first two sets at No. 3 singles and led by a 3-0 margin in the third set when the match concluded.
 
Up next for UT Tyler, which is now 5-2 on the season, is an exhibition match against UT Arlington (NCAA Division I) on Monday, March 8. The Patriots return to action against Division II competition on Wednesday, March 10, facing Southeastern Oklahoma State, which received votes in the Oracle/ITA Division II women's preseason poll and is off to a 4-3 start to the season.
