Box Score SILVER CITY, N.M. -- UT Tyler collected its fourth consecutive Lone Star Conference victory Saturday with a 6-1 road win over Western New Mexico.
 
The Patriots got the match going by claiming the doubles point with victories at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles, and victories in 5 of 6 singles matches wrapped up the team victory.
 
Chloe Chawner won 18 of 20 games played Saturday, teaming up with Chloe Dix for a 6-1 win at No. 2 doubles before Chawner rolled to a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 5 singles.
 
Tanvikhaa Saravanan posted a 6-2, 6-3 win at the top of the singles lineup, and Chawner (No. 5) was joined by Leony Deutschmann (No. 3), Akshaya Suresh (No. 4), and Eva Riekenbrauck (No. 6) as singles winners for the Patriots. All five of UT Tyler's singles wins were in straight sets.
 
With the victory, UT Tyler improved to 11-3 overall and 4-1 in Lone Star Conference play, while Western New Mexico fell to 3-12 overall and 1-4 in the LSC.
 
Four matches remain on the Patriots' 2021 schedule, and all four are at home, starting with matches against DBU (April 16) and Midwestern State (April 17) next weekend.
