TYLER, TEXAS – The University of Texas at Tyler women's tennis team will get a stretch of four home matches at Summers Tennis Center started this weekend to close out their 2021 Lone Star Conference schedule.
The Patriots are 11-3 on the season and 4-1 in Lone Star Conference matches, securing wins in four straight league matches entering this weekend's meetings with DBU and Midwestern State on Thursday and Saturday. UT Tyler stands as one of three teams alongside Midwestern State and St. Mary's with a single loss in LSC play, while Angelo State is in sole possession of first place in the conference standings with a record of 6-0 in league matches.
Thursday's match against DBU is scheduled for a 2 p.m. start and Saturday's match against Midwestern State will get started at 10 a.m.

UT Tyler women's tennis is still in the running for a shot at the Lone Star Conference regular season championship with four matches remaining on the 2021 conference schedule. All four of those matches will take place in the friendly confines of the Summers Tennis Center, and will also give the Patriots a shot at #12 Angelo State on their home court on Apr. 23.
DBU, Midwestern State and Angelo State all have winning records in Lone Star Conference play, making it imperative that the Patriots carry their winning form into the remaining four matches of the regular season. UT Tyler dominated UAFS, Cameron and Western New Mexico as part of the four-match winning streak, and overcame a doubles sweep against Cameron to secure a 4-3 win back on Apr. 3.
HOME COURT ADVANTAGE
UT Tyler has secured single wins in all but three matches on their home court in 2021, and will enter the final four matches of the 2021 season with a team record of 15-3 in singles matches at the Summers Tennis Center.
